A Good description of this amazing picturesque Environment
Rich and diverse in history, culture and resource. In the Marlborough Sounds there are many very isolated families or groups and quite a number of
proactive people and communities. Many of these communities, families and holiday homes have picturesque locations, but slow andoften restricted road access. With a mixture of holiday and permanent residents. There are also many isolated, independent and largely self sufficient properties dependent on boat only access and a regular delivery and mail service by water taxi and other providers. There is a diverse mixture of permanent residents, kiwi style baches and holiday spots for families. The Marlborough Sounds covers a large eco diverse area across “The Top Of
The South” administered by the Marlborough District Council with head offices in Blenheim. This large network of waterways and steep
undulating ranges with stunning scenery and wild life is enjoyed by many.
These families and people love and appreciate the peaceful and picturesque surroundings. The freedom, the independence, the many eco friendly systems, of progressive pioneering and survival. “Where LESS is MORE”
