The Pelorus Sound. Marlborough
Pelorus Sound is the largest waterway in the Marlborough Sounds. Having a shoreline of approximately 1500 kilometres. Many properties and families have boat only access. Dependent on regular ferry services for supplies or water taxi access.
The mail boat run is one of the most popular and well known attractions for locals and tourists. Operating throughout the Pelorus Sound, this service has been in operation and is a dependable service now for over 100yrs.

HAVELOCK is an important village township and connecting hub at the head of Pelorus. It has a large Marina and many service facilities for boat repairs and regular maintenance type operations. From Havelock you can choose to take the picturesque drive to Picton on the Queen Charlotte Drive via Link Water or the main road highway to Blenheim.
